<p style="margin-bottom: 0cm"><span style="font-family: Courier New,monospace">Taking as a starting point the book Noise &amp; Capitalism and the desire to explore noise and improvisation in social and political terms, the CAC exhibition context will become an improvised concert lasting for two months. Going through different degrees of intensity, nothing will remain static; the production and reception </span><span style="font-family: Courier New,monospace"><span style="background: transparent none repeat scroll 0% 50%">will take place simultaneously.</span></span> <span style="font-family: Courier New,monospace">By collapsing the formats of exhibition and concert into each other, the potential of the different usages of the noun </span><span style="font-family: Courier New,monospace"><em>noise</em></span> <span style="font-family: Courier New,monospace">will be explored rather than simply perpetuating noise as a musical genre. Playing with different levels of visibility and invisibility, some activities will be more formal than others. Interventions by different people will take different forms, such as an improvised zine, </span><span style="font-family: Courier New,monospace">a continuously generated performance program, an open invitation to improvise with the material conditions of the exhibition</span><span style="font-family: Courier New,monospace"><span lang="en-US">&#8230; .</span></span></p>
<p style="margin-bottom: 0cm" align="justify">
<p style="margin-bottom: 0cm" align="justify"><span style="font-family: Courier New,monospace">Historically, noise – in its many forms – has disrupted established codes, orders, discourses, habits and expectations, aesthetics and moralities. Noise</span><span style="color: #000000"> </span><span style="color: #000000"><span style="font-family: Courier New,monospace">has the potential to exceed the logic of framing, by either being too much, too complex, too dense and difficult to decode or too chaotic to be measured. At first encounter noise has the power to suspend values of judgement such as good or bad or right or wrong. To think of it in moral or ethical terms seems ridiculous. Noise, with its epistemic violence, brings into crisis the division between activity and passivity, and between knowing and feeling. By making us aware of our incapacity to decipher it, noise can expose to us our alienated condition, making us question our own subject position. </span></span></p>

<p style="margin-bottom: 0cm" align="justify"><span style="font-family: Courier New,monospace">Can the practice of noise and improvisation help us in any way to understand or even counter the level of commodification that our lives have reached under </span><span style="font-family: Courier New,monospace"><span style="background: transparent none repeat scroll 0% 50%">the capitalist</span></span><span style="font-family: Courier New,monospace"> mode of production? Can we use noise as a form of praxis going beyond established audience/performer relationships? Can we push self-reflexivity to the point of positive feedback?</span></p>

<p>Noise Annoys. Is it not a banal fact of modern, urban existence that one person’s preferred sonic environment is another’s irritating, unwelcome noise – whether in the high-rise apartment, on public transport or the street, or almost anywhere else? The contingent soundscape of jack-hammers and pneumatic drills, mobile phone chatter, car sirens and alarms, sound leakage from nightclubs and bars and – moving into the suburbs – lawn-mowers and amateur renovation projects, neighbouring kids and dogs, represents a near-constant aural assault. As a pollutant, noise can legally attain noxious levels; it is both potentially biologically harmful and psychologically detrimental.</p>
<p>But what exactly is noise and what conditions these relative thresholds in which sound crosses over into noise? Or are these more organised and polite sonic phenomena merely varieties of noise that have been tamed and civilised, and yet still contain kernels of the chaotic, anomalous disturbance of primordial noise? As a radical free agent, how is noise channelled, neutralised or enhanced in emergent cityscapes? As a consumable, how is noise – or lack of noise – commodified?</p>
<p>Such questions are particularly applicable to contemporary forms of music which, based as they are on a variety of noise-making technical machines, necessarily exist in the interface between chaotic, unpredictable noise and the organised and blended sounds of music and speech. Does modern noise seek to lead us to new, post-secular inscapes (as with psychedelia and shoegazer), or defy the lulling noisescapes of processed background muzak with punitive blasts of disorientating, disorderly noise? And why the cult of noise – in term of both volume and dissonance – in which low cultural practices (metal, moshing) meet those of the avant-garde (atonalism, transcendentalism)?</p>
<p>This conference seeks to address the contemporary phenomenon of noise in all its dimensions: cultural, political, territorial, philosophical, physiological, subversive and military, and as anomalous to sound, speech, musicality and information. Possible topics include but are not limited to:</p>

Las grandes ciudades y los medios de comunicación crecen globalmente. Atrás quedan compartimentos secretos, barrios, viviendas, urbanizaciones privadas, naciones y regiones olvidadas. Sobre todo, un poco aturdidos, queda un sinfín de seres humanos a la espera, desposeídos de raíces y, a veces, de cualquier distancia anímica que les permita ser libres frente a &#8220;la sociedad&#8221;. A la espera: y sin embargo, decíamos no creer en otra vida… ¿Qué hacemos entonces con todos estas zonas opacas a la comunicación, qué posibilidades culturales y políticas, qué peligros podemos esperar de ellas?<br />
Mientras gestionamos nuestro archipiélago de escenarios y franjas horarias separadas, ¿es posible que el pensamiento, a través de una acción y -sobre todo- una existencia cambiada, sirva todavía para revitalizar una experiencia común? De un lado, tenemos el silencio de la eficacia laboral; de otro, viajes secretos por la Red, series televisivas de ciencia ficción, efectos especiales para acumular alguna vivencia que nos permita sentirnos vivos, dormir. ¿Cómo romper esta funcional bipolaridad entre tedio y escándalo, entre parálisis e interactividad, entre secreto y estruendo de la que nosotros también somos cómplices? Debemos analizar cómo sea posible una nueva intervención del pensamiento en un mundo entregado a la urgencia periodística. Estresados por una información que sirve sin cesar esquirlas del planeta, ¿qué queda de una nueva experiencia de la reflexión y de la acción, del ideal práctico del pensamiento? ¿Puede éste ayudar al ciudadano a salir de su retiro defensivo, de este pragmatismo más o menos mudo en la cercanía, donde sin embargo se juegan los cambios?<br />
Tal vez le esté reservado al pensamiento, a la filosofía, algún lugar significativo en la necesaria “reconversión” de nuestras vidas y nuestras sociedades después de la euforia de décadas anteriores. ¿Exige incluso el emergente panorama urbano, con veinticinco grandes metrópolis a partir de 2010, una revitalización del papel público del intelectual?<br />
Con la vehemencia que “nos” caracteriza, cuestiones como estas y muchas otras implicadas serán planteadas en “El malestar del capitalismo”, un seminario que, de Agamben a  Badiou, uno se empeñará en que sea altamente polémico. Después, claro, depende de cada cual que todo siga igual o no.<br />

<p>Se os nósos sentidos son apropiados polo capitalismo para ser postos ao servizo dunha “economía da atención”, comecemos a reapropiar os nósos sentidos, a nósa capacidade de sentir, os nósos poderes de percepción; comecemos a guerra á membrana!</p>
<p>A linguaxe alienada é ruido, pero o ruido contén posibilidades, que poden; quén sabe, ser máis afectivas que discursivas, máis enigmáticas<br />
que dogmáticas.</p>
<p>O ruido e a improvisación son prácticas de risco, que “volven fráxil”. Aínda así, estos riscos supoñen unha responsabilidade social que pode levarnos máis alá dunha “falsa liberdade” e nunhas unidades de diferencia.</p>
<p>É isto o que deberiamos explorar neste experimento?  Prepararse para fracasar, fracasar para prepararse, fracasar dentro da falsa seguridade; ou compartir e desfacernos un pouco nós mésmos?  Todo é posible. Mais por qué, dende o berce ata o escenario, dende a clase<br />
ata o bar, a miúdo só facemos o que se espera de nós? Qué é o que nos obriga, o que nos presiona? Cal podería ser o nóso campo de acción en cada momento específico? Cómo poderiamos mudar as nósas relacións sociais aquí e agora ou noutro momento específico? Cómo se moven os nósos corpos no espazo? Cómo informan os nósos sentidos os nósos pensamentos? Cómo son as nósas resonancias e silencios musicais? Qué significa isto para distinta xente? Cómo determinan a nósa clase, xénero e sexualidade, o que facemos, que é o que pensamos e a maneira na que tocamos? Podemos tocar sen instrumentos e sen identidades?</p>
<p>Se as condicións nas que producimos a nósa música afectan á nósa maneira de tocar, tratemos de sentir a través deles, de entendelas ao<br />
máximo e, despois, cambiemos estas condicións.  Non utilizemos métodos e formas “ready-made”, tratemos de atopar os nósos própios métodos.</p>
<p>Celebrando a publicación do libro Ruido &amp; Capitalismo compartiremos unha tarde xuntos nun experimento performativo, onde a teoría non estea distanciada do espazo no que nos atopamos. Falaremos, leremos, actuaremos e relacionarémonos entre nós e con algúns dos textos publicados no libro Ruido &amp; Capitalismo. Pero estos textos non serán utilizados a modo de reflexión senon de maneira práctica á hora de compartir tempo e espazo xuntos. Non queremos definir este experimento nin como taller nin como grupo de lectura senon como un desfacer, entender e compartir o tempo xuntos para explorar as posibilidades tanto políticas como creativas da situación mésma que se vaia xerando. Todo o mundo é benvido a éste experimento.</p>

Kapitalismoak gure zentzumenak eskuratzen baditu “arretaren ekonomiaren” zerbitzura jartzeko, has gaitezen gure zentzuak, gure sentitzeko gaitasunak, gure pertzeptziorako gaitasunak berreskuratzen. Mintzenganako guda has dezagun!</p>
<p>Hizkuntz alienatua zarata da, baina aldiberean zaratak baditu bertzelako baliabideak, diskurtsiboak baino afektiboagoak edo dogmatikoak baino enigmatikoak izan daitezkenak, batek daki.</p>
<p>Zarata nahiz inprobisazioa praktika arriskutsuak dira “hauskor bihurtzen” direnak. Baina halaere arriskuok erantzunkizun sozial bat suposatzen dute, “gezurrezko askatasunetik” haratago eraman gaituzketenak.</p>
<p>¿Hau al da honelako esperimentu batean esploratu beharko genuena?<br />
¿Huts egiteko prestatzea, prestatzeko huts egitea, gezurrezko ziurtasun hortan huts egitea; edo geure burua pixkat desegin eta elkarbanatzea?<br />
Dena da posible. Baina zergatik seaskatik eskenatokigainera,ikasgelatik tabernara, beti gutaz espero dena egiten dugu?<br />

Ez dugu esperimentu hau ez tailer ez irakurketa talde gisara definitu nahi, baizik, denbora desegin, ulertu eta elkarbanatzeko ariketa baizik, sortuko den egoeraren aukera politiko nahiz sortzaileak elkarrekin esploratzeko helburuarekin.</p>
