Proposamen naif xamarraren itxurarekin eta nahitaezko iparramerikar usaiarekin heldu dela ezin bada ukatu ere, hara hemen ekimen berezi batean parte hartzeko proposamena. Beharbada, norberak bere erara eginez zentzu gehiago eduki dezake… Momentuz hor doa:

Heldu den 2010eko uztailaren 18an igandez ospatuko den Mundua entzuteko lehen egunean parte hartzera gonbidatzen zaitugu. Egun honen helburuak dira:

* Entzutearen praktika ospatzea, gure ingurunearekiko harremana suposatzen duen heinean, ingurumenarekiko eta ekologia akustikorako kontzientzia ere sustatzen duelako.
* World Soundscape Project, World Listening Project, World Forum for Acoustic Ecology eta orokorrean fonografia modu sortzailean esploratzeko hainbat pertsona eta taldek egiten duten lana zabaldu eta ezagutarazteko.
* Kontzeptu eta praktika hauek hezkuntzaren esparruan landuko dituzten ekimenak diseinatu eta martxan jartzeko.

Uztailaren 18a aukeratu da Munduko Entzumenaren eguna bezala R. Murray Schafer konposatzaile kanadiarraren urtebetetze eguna delako (sic). Schafer ekologia akustikoaren mugimenduaren fundatzaileetako bat izan zen. Berak zuzentzen duen The World Soundscape Project edo Munduko Soinu Paisai egitasmoa, alor honetan hainbat aktibitaterako abiapuntu izan da, eta bere liburu Soundscape: The Tuning of the World egun ekologia akustikoaren mugimenduan erabiltzen den hainbat termino eta ideia definitzeko ezinbestekoa izan da.
Horrela har dezakezu parte Mundua Entzuteko egunean:

· Zure denboraren zatitxo bat gorde dezakezu, zure inguruko soinu paisaiei arreta eskaintzeko.
· Jendeak inguruneko soinu grabaketak erakutsiko dituen entzuteko festa bat antolatu dezakezu.
· Soinu ibilaldi bat antola dezakezu.
· Bestelako aukerak…

You are invited to participate in the first World Listening Day, which happens on Sunday, July 18, 2010. The purposes of World Listening Day are:
* to celebrate the practice of listening as it relates to the world around us, environmental awareness, and acoustic ecology
* to raise awareness about issues related to the World Soundscape Project, World Listening Project, World Forum for Acoustic Ecology, and individual and group efforts to creatively explore phonography
* to design and implement educational initiatives which explore these concepts and practices

July 18 was chosen as the date for World Listening Day because it is the birthday of the Canadian composer R. Murray Schafer. Schafer is one of the founders of the Acoustic Ecology movement. The World Soundscape Project, which he directed, is an important organization which has inspired a lot of activity in this field, and his book Soundscape: The Tuning of the World helped to define many of the terms and background behind the acoustic ecology movement.
Here is how you can participate in World Listening Day:

· You can set aside some time when you pay attention to your soundscape.
· You can organize a listening party when people play field recordings.
· You can organize a soundwalk.
