Iker Ormazábal, from the Iberian territory, has dropped here a very personal collection of sounds.

Melting dirty noises with dark ambiences and faulty electronics in quite a slow motion and unhappy development. Dead emotions and depressive static droney passages using micro-sound, minimalistic perversion and looping techniques to paint an unconventionally dusty and devastated landscape.

Iker Ormazabal was born and grew up in Vitoria-Gasteiz. Greatly interested in music since his early childhood, he received musical instruction at the Luis Aramburu Municipal School of Music and took guitar classes with Arturo Blasco.

At the age of 16 he began experimenting with different instruments, cassettes and stomp boxes. Soon he joined to local groups like Bleech and, afterwards, to Factor Rhesus. He then integrated for a more extensive period of time into Sorkun and Atomoog, groups with whom he recorded several LP’s and participated in different tours around Spain and the South of France.

Currently he works as a sound technician. In the Soizu and Fft Players projects, he continues to investigate different sides of music and sound experimentation.

7 tracks / 50 minutes / 50 copies pressed.
